How to Get Certified

The Recruitment Education Institute offers a variety of courses, modules, webinars, and resources for members, allowing them to explore the training program and become certified at their own pace. Members of REI can complete the online or onsite training and testing to become a Certified Recruiting Professional (CRP). Members are encouraged to maintain certification by retaining membership to REI and accessing exclusive educational content.

Frequently Asked Questions

Certification is valid for two years from the date of completion of the course. After two years, we encourage participants to maintain certification by completing additional modules, Webinars, and in-person conference attendance. Certification resources are updated regularly, allowing participants to receive the most current recruiter education available to them upon re-certification.

After the two years has expired, alumni are required to gain 20 credit hours to maintain certification. Credits can be earned through the following:

  • Completing advanced certification modules such as Behavioral Based Interviewing, Advanced Sourcing, and Advanced Metrics (5 credits each)
  • Completing additional REI Webinar modules (5 credits)

Check back to the REI site frequently for additional opportunities to gain approved credits.

Participants have access to the portal for 90 days from the date of purchase. The training material is updated approximately every few weeks and users have free access to all new material, including REI sponsored Webinars, resources, and more.

Participants receive one complimentary re-examination per testing section.

Yes, the Recruiter Certification Program is approved for 7 Credit Hours through HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and 9 Credit Hours through the NAPS (National Association of Personnel Services).

The Recruitment Education Institute’s comprehensive and all-inclusive Recruiter Certification Program offers several modules at a singular cost to the participant, allowing them to fully comprehend the training program from start to finish as one cohesive unit, all done at the individuals pace.

There are three distinct components to RCP that are not offered in other recruiter training programs: Behavioral Based Interviewing, Recruiting Metrics, and Onboarding. All of the RCP modules offer modern insight to recruiting best practices that can be immediately applied to the participant’s daily recruiting strategies and methodologies. These action-based tactics allow the participant to make proactive enhancements to their overall recruiting cycle, including techniques to improve the relationship with the hiring manager and proper techniques to make the search for talent the most effective.

The Recruiter Certification Program (RCP) provides both novice and experienced recruiters with a comprehensive set of modules that cover the necessary techniques to improve their recruiting abilities, client management skills, and overall cycle management. Based on proven recruiting techniques, RCP is an interactive program delivered through seven primary modules, with ancillary modules covering additional topics such as advanced sourcing skills and performance metrics. We have developed the Program to help alleviate common issues within recruiting. By gaining familiarity with the latest trends, metrics and behaviors, recruiters will be able to put more of their focus on candidate and client satisfaction.

The Recruitment Education Institute Online Video Training is a renowned web-based program that provides recruiters with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today’s fluctuating recruiting industry. The modernized online training modules extensively cover industry and market trends and topics crucial to recruiters at all experience levels, including best practices in online sourcing and web search, effective metrics, and behavioral based interviewing. Each participant has the choice of completing the RCP online training as well as four advanced modules for additional credit hours. In addition to certification through The Recruitment Education Institute, the video training is approved by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and awards credits toward recertification. The more the merrier! RCP is set up as an interactive program in which everyone can be logged in simultaneously, allowing large groups to take the training all at once. Additionally, many participants, such as recruiters with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cisco, Bright Horizons, and Whirlpool, have chosen to participate in the onsite training and take the online module training as a supplement.
